Nan Brown,

Director of seniors

From Nan:

In 2013, I came home…to First Baptist Church of Mt. Healthy, after 23 years in various states. “Home” began for me in 1983, when three members from this church visited me and led me to my Savior. I’m now privileged to serve in this body of Christ in teaching and in member care, primarily senior adults. And getting to update a weekly prayer guide has afforded me the blessing of getting to know many others in our church and beyond.

After graduation from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, I served senior and single adults at a church in Kansas City. I then received a Master’s Degree in gerontology from the University of North Texas and have worked in the field for 26 years. But when I realized that my own mother was heading into a higher level of care, I returned to the area!

I find myself smiling and laughing a lot these days. Blessings abound. And I’m not surprised. I’m home!
